Meet John Ramirez

Founder & CEO

My design journey began in 2007 when I had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed architects to design hundreds of homes across the Greater Toronto Area. Working alongside these industry leaders, I gained invaluable experience and insights, while their encouragement to start my design firm fueled my passion and ambition.
Though owning a design firm was always my ultimate goal, I initially thought it would take years to gain the experience required. However, the respect and trust of my mentors allowed me to quickly hone my skills, pushing me to reach new heights as a designer.
In 2010, I founded JR Design and Construction, starting as a solo practitioner. I worked closely with clients, transforming their visions into reality by designing homes and ensuring they were built to the highest standards. My active involvement in every phase of the project—design to construction—kept clients informed and engaged, deepening my understanding and appreciation of home design.
In 2018, I took the next step in my career and established my corporation J-R Home Designer Inc. With a talented team of designers, we continue to serve a growing number of clients across the GTA, helping them build their dream homes. My commitment to being fully immersed in each project ensures that we consistently exceed client expectations.
I am a graduate of Humber College’s Architectural Program and a Certified BCIN designer, with a passion for design and architecture that grows every day.
